Fernando Alonso shocked the F1 world with his surprise move to Aston Martin for 2023. He talked about being convinced by the team's potential, but so far in 2022 Aston Martin has lagged way behind his current employer Alpine.
Alonso also told The Race's Scott Mitchell recently that he doesn't want to be viewed in the same way as Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen were in their F1 comebacks, so how does taking a risk (and a big payday) with a struggling team fit with that?
