Abiteboul will return to a major motorsport category in 2023 by leading the Hyundai World Rally Championship team, his first front-line job since being axed from the Renault works F1 team at the start of 2021.
And Abiteboul’s move feels like it could be the start of something bigger than ‘just’ leading the world rally team, because we’re hearing some interesting stuff about Hyundai from an F1 perspective.
