Whoever you speak to in the F1 paddock, everyone seems convinced Red Bull - and Max Verstappen in particular - will be the combination to beat when F1 2024 kicks off properly in Bahrain.
But, already there is one team emerging as their most credible challenger.
That team isn’t Mercedes, who finished second in the 2023 championship, or McLaren, who pushed Red Bull hardest on the high-speed circuits last season. Nor is it Aston Martin, who started 2023 as Red Bull’s biggest threat.
When Verstappen takes a look in his mirrors next week, we expect his field of vision to be filled with Ferrari red.
