Red Bull has decided what to do about Max Verstappen's F1 team-mate for 2025, and it's taking a big risk.
Sergio Perez is poised to get a new Red Bull contract despite his poor recent form (right when Verstappen is coming under more pressure on-track from Red Bull's rivals) sending clear warning signs that are apparently being ignored.
Though there's nothing official, The Race understands that Perez will be re-signed, and soon. Red Bull's mind is made up and it's a matter of agreeing the final details in Perez's new contract.
But whenever it IS official, this renewal will come DESPITE Perez's form, not because of it.
