Just when you thought the grille alone was controversial enough, #BMWM go and release the new M Performance Parts for the interior and exterior of the new G80 M cars! These are available immediately from Market launch, unlike in the past, and they’re headlined by the new bizarre looking exhaust system! It looks batshit crazy, but luckily sounds a damn sight better than the standard one! The lightweight exhaust system had flap control, taking experience from motorsport, it weighs 5kg less and has optimised exhaust gas routing and thus better sound. The four titanium, ceramic-coated tailpipe trims are in a position we have never seen before, inside the M Performance carbon rear diffuser.
There’s also an M Performance sports suspension available, developed and tuned on various different racetracks. It’s a coilover system with variable reduction of ride height of between five and twenty millimetres. In addition to increased dynamics, the lowering gives a sporty look too.
There are then a tonne of exterior parts, like the M Performance carbon front mouths, the M Performance carbon front splitter and the carbon M Performance Aero Flicks. The side sees carbon details on the wing and huge side skirt trims make the car look wider. These continue at the rear, with the M Performance carbon rear winglets again, a crazy M Performance carbon rear wing. Wings becoming more and more common in sports sedans!
Highlight of the wheel range are the BMW M Performance cross-spoke forged wheel 1000M in Gold Bronze matt or Jet-Black matt with M Performance lettering, we have both on this show car on each side to show you!
Inside, the M Performance “Pro” steering wheel is features Alcantara, and much larger thumb rests for more grip. Theres also a blue centre marker in the 12 o’clock position and a hand stitched M seam finish. You also get matte carbon trim inside, and if you want them, carbon shift paddles.
