The Alpine Formula 1 team is looking for its fourth team boss in six years following the news Marcin Budkowski has left with immediate effect, with Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi taking day-to-day control on an interim basis pending the appointment of a replacement.
Budkowski was to all intents and purposes the Alpine team principal, and his departure leaves it needing fresh leadership ahead of a season when it hopes to take a big step forward.
This is the latest ruction in the leadership of Alpine since it bought the ailing Lotus team ahead of 2016 and part of the process of management changes that Rossi decided were required last year
